CHK, SMBB Trauma Centre To Remain Vigilant - On Account of PSL

KARACHI-  On account of Pakistan Super League’s (PSL) final match, The Dr. Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK), and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Accident Emergency & Trauma Center administrations have allocated 75 beds to counter possible emergency like situations.


50-beds have been allocated in SMBB Trauma Centre and 25 beds in Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK). A special contingency plan has been chalked out, in the wake of any possible emergency like situation. All kinds of life-saving medicines are available in the above mentioned health facilities, while presence of doctors, paramedical staff and nurses would also be ensured.

Medical superintendent, CHK, Dr. Muhammad Taufiq, stated that, since PSL’s final match is scheduled to be held on March 25,2018 at National Stadium, a special contingency plan has been devised to avert any eventuality or emergency situation during the final match.
He informed that OT complex, Emergency, Pharmacy and other trauma related departments of Civil Hospital and SMBB Trauma Centre will remain open on March 25th, round the clock, to avert any unpleasant situation.


Earlier, Home Department Government of Sindh has directed the Secretary Health, Sindh, to make necessary arrangements in major hospitals of Karachi to cater any unfortunate event during Pakistan Super League’s (PSL) final match, scheduled on March 25th, 2018 at National Stadium Karachi.


The heads of major hospitals like; Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC),  Dr. Ruth KM Pfau, Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK), Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Accident, Emergency & Trauma Center, Aga Khan Hospital and Liaquat National Hospital, Karachi have been directed to make necessary arrangements well in time to cater any possible emergency during PSL’s final match.
