Federal Government Soon to Issue Health Cards to General Public

Islamabad- Addressing the concerned officials and media personnel at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), the Federal Minister for National Health Services (NHS) Mr. Amir Kiyani stated that the Federal Government has decided to follow the health model of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) and will be issuing health cards to the general public, in order to reduce the burden on government sector hospitals.

These health cards will be issued to deserving people and will provide aid of worth Rs 500000 to them. Mr. Kiyani added that the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mr. Imran Khan has shown personal interest in improving the healthcare system of the country.

Furthermore, the Federal Minister NHS mentioned that, all the dysfunctional medical equipment and machinery at PIMS should be restored immediately under the grant provided by him, to avoid any unforeseen scenarios, and to complete all pending projects.

He also emphasized upon the maternal healthcare system of the country and has requested the government to make it a priority to provide both the mother and child with top most healthcare modalities.
