Health Minister Visits CHK

KARACHI- Caretaker Provincial Minister for Health, Dr. Saadia Rizvi paid a surprise visit to Dr. Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK), to assess the overall condition of the hospital, including their staff attendance, cleanliness of the premises and delivery of services. She also spoke to the patients and their attendants about the services and facilities provided by the authorities. Dr. Rizvi also checked upon CHK’s waste disposal unit.

CHK Medical Superintendent Dr. Muhammad Taufiq briefed the minister about the services and latest technologies offered by the hospital, for general public, free of cost.

Dr. Saadia Rizvi appreciated CHK’s management team for their efficiency and dedication to provide appropriate health care facilities to the patients.

Furthermore, she inquired regarding the staff related issues, mainly pertaining to their routine shifts and timings. The authorities were asked to resolve the confusions, based on priority.

Dr. Rizvi informed that, such visits will continue in future, and that she expects all officials to be disciplined and ensure punctuality, in order to carry out their duties properly.
