Karachi- Addressing a press conference at the Karachi Press Club, deceased Nashwa’s father, Qaiser Ali, raised his demands again. He warned to start a protest demonstration, to take place on Sunday, April 28th, in case the demands of arrest of responsible individuals and shutting down of the criminal hospital were not met.

Qaiser said that they had registered the FIR under case of negligence, but insisted that Section 302 of Pakistan Penal Code, which deals with murder cases, should also be included now. Displaying mistrust in the politicized and pressurized government organizations, he demanded the constitution of an independent investigation commission in presence of a judge.

The hospital in question does not even have an ICU for children (PICU), informed Qaiser.

He complained about the hospital’s reckless attitude. We should have been told that the hospital did not have an intensive care facility for children, he said.

To conceal their incompetency Darul Sehat Hospital did not allow the parents to transfer Nashwa and admitted her despite not having a Paediatric ICU, which indicates that they knowingly put the baby’s life in danger.

CM and IG Sindh have assured of all due arrests to take place. The distressed father stated that his two demands should be met at any cost, and that the persons responsible for his daughter’s passing away should be tried for murder.

Qaiser insisted that in case the authorities failed to arrest the hospital owners and seal the facility by 5pm, April 27th, a protest campaign would be initiated the next day.
