International Symposium at SMBBMU

LARKANA- A three scientific sessions of 2-day International Symposium was recently held at the Areeja Campus of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University.


Noted post-graduate lady doctors and male doctors attended the meeting and read their research papers.


These sessions included Medical and Allied Sciences, Gynecology and Obstetrics and Surgery and Allied Sciences. Different workshops were also held for the new doctors. Drug companies also established their different kinds of stalls. Large number of doctors and other relevant people took part in the symposium.


Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Ghulam Asghar Channa while visiting the place said that such programmes are essential for capacity building and research purposes. He said research made in the field of health sciences is shared with other doctors from which they benefit a lot.


He said learning and teaching process never ends from which so many people get lot of knowledge.


Sindh Health Minister Dr. Sikander Mendthro presided over a session solely dedicated to Health Management which is devoted to making improvements in the existing healthcare system to improve their performance so that poor ailing people could be able to get proper treatments.


After this session recommendations will be prepared and sent to Sindh Government for implementation. Dr. Attiya, Dr. Shazia Shaikh, Dr. Salim Shaikh, Dr. Amanullah, Dr. Imran Ali, Dr. Irum and others took part in the symposium and workshop.
