Kharadar General Hospital Inaugurates Nursing Education Block

KARACHI- The Kharadar General Hospital, recently, held a ceremony to inaugurate their new Nursing Education Block dedicated towards producing a skilled nursing staff to further improve our country’s healthcare delivery system.
 
Vice Chancellor Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS), Prof. Mohammad Saeed Qureshi; President Kharadar General Hospital, Mr Bashir Jan Mohammad; and Chairperson Academic Council, Pakistan Nursing Council Prof. Yasmeen Amersey.

While addressing the audience, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Indus Hospital Karachi, Dr Abdul Bari Khan, stated that in order to combat the health challenges being faced by our nation, the nursing manpower must be increased. A well-trained nursing staff with latest technology can bring about changes within the health sector.
 
Mr Bashir Jan Mohammad expressed his happiness upon the completion of 100 years of hospital services, and marked the establishment of the new nursing education block as a milestone.
 
Guest of Honor, Prof. Saeed Qureshi mentioned that a well-equipped educational institute with modern technology and proper professional education at nominal charges was indeed a blessing for Lyari and the adjacent areas.

Chairman Hospital Management Committee, Prof. Dr AG Billoo said, “Human life can only be valued through following proper protocol to protect them from illness, and by facilitating healing, and this is only possible through increasing nursing manpower.”
 
The new nursing education block, which cost of Rs70 million, will be the source of enhancing quality nursing education.

Guest of Honor, Prof. Yasmeen Amersey highlighted the importance of nursing profession and its direct link with any patient’s recovery. She further added that nurses of our country needed to display professionalism and acquire better communication and clinical skills, whilst performing their duties wholeheartedly.

CEO Kharadar General Hospital, Dr Khalid Iqbal, and Principal School of Nursing, Talat Shah, also addressed the ceremony regarding the importance of nursing education.
 
The event was concluded by award distribution among speakers.
