KARACHI- The inadequate health care infrastructure, lack of trained professionals and costly diagnostic services in Sindh are the source of the ongoing health crisis in Sindh.
In an attempt to address these concerns, the Pakistan Red Crescent(PRC) Sindh and Jinnah Sindh Medical University (JSMU) has signed a memorandum of understanding for providing quality health and diagnostic services in Sindh at the Hilal-e-Ahmer House in Karachi.
According to the agreement, PRCS will provide space on rent to JSMU within its properties (where ever available in Sindh) where the latter will establish and provide Health Diagnostic Services to the general public on nominal rates.
The organizations will also work in collaboration on the matters of capacity building of staff and health care professionals in order to facilitate the people of rural areas with quality health care.
The MoU was signed by the PRC Sindh Chairman, Shahnaz Hamid, and the Vice-Chancellor of Jinnah Sindh Medical University, Professor Syed Muhammad Tariq Rafi at PRC Provincial Headquarters in Karachi.
