PRCS Holds Plantation Drive Across Karachi

KARACHI- Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS), Sindh, conducted an awareness session pertaining to the ongoing climate change and its effects. PRCS also collaborated with different educational institutions to raise awareness amongst thousands of individuals, including staff and students.


In light of the International Climate Change and the weeklong celebration, PRCS planted more than 150 saplings with the support of Sindh Forest Department.


The celebration was conducted at Dawood Engineering and Technology University, Major Zia ul Din High School, Institute of Environmental Science, University of Karachi and SOS Village, in Karachi.


The plantation drive and awareness sessions were a part of PRCS Climate Change Adaptation Program, which focuses on building resilient communities by creating awareness regarding cleanliness and the importance of tree plantation.
