Sindh nurses threaten to go on strike

The Sindh Nurses Alliance demanded the Sindh government to approve the provided summary stating their claims regarding health professional allowance, up-gradation, and promotions of nurses under the four-tier formula by February 20, 2019, otherwise, nurses from all over the Sindh will go on protest.

Young Nurses Association Sindh and Provincial Nurses Association (PNA) Sindh have allied to work together for the rights of the Sindh nursing community.

Representatives of Sindh Nurses Alliance, Ejaz Ali Kaleri, Ghulam Dastagir, Atta Hussain Rajpar, and Heera Lal informed that the Sindh Health Department had not approved their summary demanding the up-gradation and promotions of nurses and health professional allowance since past three months.

According to the representatives, they gave a one-week ultimatum to the Sindh government authorities to approve their summary and issue a notification otherwise nurses of Sindh will boycott their duties in protest from February 20, 2019, across the province.
