An audience with PM exalts cancer patient

Karachi: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif during his recent visit to the city met a cancer patient, Anwarullah Afridi, to fulfill his desire of having an audience with him (PM).

The premier during his meeting with Afridi held for some time enquired after his health, family, hobbies and studies.

According to a statement issued by PM's Office, Nawaz Sharif while praying for speedy recovery of the patient from the illness said that Afridi was a source of inspiration and courage for all and sundry.

He asked Afridi to stand brave and courageous as the Almighty Allah helps those who help themselves.

He said that granting wishes of such children change their lives to a great extent.

Regarding the patient’s desire of seeing the Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, premier directed the officials concerned to arrange the same as soon as possible.

Afridi expressed his joy over his meeting with the PM.
