12 more dengue patients surface in Karachi

KARACHI- Twelve more dengue cases were detected last week in Karachi, increasing the number of dengue patients to 325 in the city since Jan 1, 2016.

According to weekly report of Dengue Prevention and Control Programme, Sindh, at least 12 new dengue fever cases were detected in the city from March 25 to 31, 2016.

Giving further details, the report said that of the total 340 dengue fever cases reported across Sindh since Jan 1, 2016, 325 were detected in Karachi, five in Hyderabad, two in Sukkur and one each in Tando Muhammad Khan, Jamshoro, Mirpurkhas, Sanghar, Ghotki, Thatta, Shikarpur and Shaheed Benazirbad.

However, no dengue patient died during the current year, the report added.
