LAHORE: Thirteen prominent schools in Lahore will be returned to the Daanish School Authority (DSA) by the government. 

It's been reported that the former administration had a goal of elevating Daanish education to a national level of excellence. A centre of excellence for Daanish schools has yet to be established in the last three and half years. 

CM Punjab Hamza Shahbaz

A total of 13 big schools in Punjab's city of Lahore, including Govt Comprehensive Girls High School and Govt Pilot Secondary School, will be transferred to the DSA after the approval of Hamza Shehbaz, Chief Minister of Punjab, according to official sources.

Among these schools are Govt Comprehensive Higher Secondary School, Ghorey Shah; Central Model School, Rattigan Road; and Govt High School, Samanabad. DSA will take care of all the schools' issues, including teacher shortages, infrastructure and other costs.  Efforts to turn over schools to the DSA have already begun at the Punjab Schools Education Department.

Punjab Daanish Schools

A piece of legislation, the Punjab Daanish Schools and Centres of Excellence Authority Act 2010, was promulgated by the Punjab Governor in order to control the business of the Punjab Daanish Schools and Centres of Excellence Authority. 

On February 24, 2010, the Punjab Daanish Schools and Centres of Excellence Authority (PDS&CEA) Act was passed, paving the way for the establishment of the Punjab Daanish Schools and Centres of Excellence Authority to provide quality Elementary, Secondary, and Higher Secondary Education to underprivileged students as well as students from other segments of society. 
The Authority administers and operates a one-of-a-kind combination of boarding schools (Daanish) and day schools (Daanish Academy) ( Centres of Excellence). 

Located all over Punjab, the schools provide high-quality education to kids from underprivileged backgrounds as well as from other areas of society, with a particular emphasis on promoting social mobility and literacy upward among students throughout the province.

Lahore Weather

Hot and humid weather was recorded in the city, and the Met Office forecast similar weather conditions with the possibility of scattered rain over the next 24 hours. 

The MET reported that a westerly wave was present over western regions of the country. 
It was forecasted that rain, wind, and thunderstorms would be seen in KP, North Balochistan, the Upper Punjab region, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan, while hot and dry weather would be experienced in other parts of the country. 

The highest temperature recorded on Monday was 49.5°C in Shaheed Benazirabad, while the lowest temperature recorded in Lahore was 41.8°C and the lowest temperature was 26.8°C.
