Young Dental Students' Annual Congress 2022 held

KARACHI: Experts recommend establishing venues for policy development in dentistry and investigating the obstacles clinicians face in promoting dental awareness among the general public.

Dental experts and practitioners attended the Annual Congress 2022 held at Jinnah Sindh Medical University and hosted by the Sindh Institute of Oral Health Sciences, JSMU Student Council, and the Pakistan Association of Dental Students – PADS to participate in the scientific sessions on dental health advancements.

Prof. Amjad Siraj Memon, Vice Chancellor of JSMU, is pleased that the conference will educate young dentists on the issues they encounter as clinicians.

Zubair A. Abbasi, Principal SIOHS-JSMU, thanked the event's organising committee for a job well done and stated that students and recent graduates may make the most of activities that raise patients' knowledge about the prevention of dental illnesses.

Dr Azam Khan, The Registrar of JSMU, Professor Kefi Iqbal, the Chairperson of the JSMU Student Council, and Professor Yawar Ali Abidi, the Dean of SIOHS-JSMU, addressed the students at the conference and thanked the panellists and speakers for sharing their thoughts.

According to the conference coordinators, more than 400 dentists participated in the debate, and SIOHS-JSMU students also participated in poster contests.

President of the Student Council Muhammad Ahmad, Vice President Nadia Aslam, President of the PADS Aleena Saleem, General Secretary of the JSC Balaj Hussain, Advisor of the JSC Subhan Siddiqui, and Director of Venue Operations for the PADS, Saba Rizwan, organised the event.
