Pakistani Paediatrician made country proud in Ireland

Ireland: Dr Muhammad Moazzam Gulzar has been recenytly announced as the National Office of Clinical Audit (NOCA) Quality Improvement Champion 2020.

Dr Gulzar, Registrar Emergency Medicine, Children’s Health Ireland at Crumlin, received the award for a project on “Paediatrics ECG interpretation checklist”.

Three projects were shortlisted to present for the NOCA Quality Improvement Champion Award 2020 at NOCA’s annual conference.

 

Also presenting were Ricardo Paco, Trauma Audit Coordinator, St James’s Hospital with his project “CodeHip” and Helen Kavanagh, Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist, St James’s Hospital presented their project “Seven-day Physiotherapy Stroke Assessment”.

The NOCA ‘Quality Improvement Champion’ Award recognises an individual or team who has made best use of national or local clinical audit data to improve patient care in their hospital / hospital group / healthcare organisation
