Police finds dead body of female medical student

DADU: Recently, the body of a female medical student was spotted on Sita Road in Khairpur Nathan Shah.

As per authorities, the body of the victim, Ms Asmat, a fourth-year MBBS student, was located in Ward No. 7 of the Sita Road Police Station. Her body was penetrated by a bullet of a pistol, which could have killed her.

Ms Asmat was a student at Peoples University of Medical & Health Science for Women, Nawabshah. 

Police had taken the final-year student's body to a hospital for an autopsy.

The medical student's father had filed a First Information Report (FIR) at the Sita police station two days before her demise, accusing four people of harassing his daughter. He said that a man was blackmailing his daughter by forging a marriage certificate and forcing her to pay money to him through a bank account. He alleged that the accused was also threatening the woman with violence. He added that his daughter, who was distressed as a result of the harassment, committed suicide.
