Yasmin Rashid approves 4600 new posts in Punjab Govt

LAHORE: Yasmin Rashid, provincial minister of health, announced the approval of 4,600 additional positions in the Punjab Health Department.

In this regard, Yasmin Rashid presided over a meeting at the Department of Specialized Health Care and Medical Education. 

Dr Ahmad Javaid Qazi, the newly appointed Secretary of Health, Special Secretary Muhammad Usman, Additional Secretaries Zahida Azhar, Shahida Farrukh, Dr Hafiz Shahid Latif, Qaratul Ain, and Agha Nabil, Chief Planning Officer Abdul Haq Bhatti, and the relevant Deputy Secretaries were present.

During the meeting, Yasmin Rashid elaborated on the sehat sahulat card, new recruitment of doctors in the health department, mother and child hospitals, Construction, promotion of doctors and professors, midwifery colleges, and regional blood centre activities. Yasmin Rashid was briefed by Special Secretary Muhammad Usman and several other secretaries. Yasmin Rashid stated that the Department of Specialized Health and Medical Education had initiated the process of submitting a request to the Punjab Public Service Commission to fill 4,600 new positions. The development of mother and child hospitals in Punjab is advancing rapidly. 

Yasmin Rashid, provincial minister of health, stated that efforts are being made to address the shortfall of physicians, nurses, and paramedical personnel in government teaching hospitals in Punjab. The sehat sahulat card provides free care and treatment facilities worth billions of rupees.

The health department has been told to adhere regularly to the recruitment procedure for new medical personnel. She stated that preparations are underway for the regional blood centre. The agency is finalizing the procedure, which includes drafting medical officers' working documents. Yasmin Rashid, provincial health minister, stated that the posting of Dr Ahmed Javed Qazi is a positive indicator. He is one of the most diligent and trustworthy authorities. Dr Ahmed Javed Qazi will contribute to the expansion of medical education.
