LAHORE - Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) demanded the removal of present administration of Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) and establish a separate cell for accountability of corrupt elements in the council.

Addressing a press conference at PMA House, President-elect Dr Ashraf Nizami said that the present set- up was asking doctors to get fresh certification of documents submitted years back for registration.

Other office bearers were also present.

Dr Ashraf Nizami said that PMDC was harassing medical community by issuing notices.

He demanded from the federal government to revive old procedure of renewal of certificates for the convenience of doctors.
