Aryan Khan, son of Shahrukh Khan sent for medical check-up

MUMBAI: Aryan Khan, son of Bollywood Legend Shah Rukh Khan, was recently booked by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in an alleged drug bust.

Aryan, along with 17 others, was detained following a STING operation on a party cruise line on the Mumbai coast. Though Aryan insists he was only invited as a ‘VVIP’ to ‘add colour’ to the event and is unaware of any prohibited or illegal substances on board, the Indian security agencies have asked him to testify in court. JJ hospital performed his medical check-up and intoxication tests.

“I have a friend called Pratik, who had informed me that I might be invited as a special VVIP as the ship’s crew, not as an organiser. Pratik spoke to (organiser of the party) Aamir Furniturewala, who had requested Pratik to invite me, only intending to add colour to the party.” quoted a representative on Aryan’s behalf.

“Out of 1000 people aboard, only 17 were arrested? It can’t be that the entire cruise was connected to any drug circle. I was called to add prestige, that’s it. I had no connection with Aamir or any other organiser,” they further added.

His charges come under section 8C, 20B, 27 read with 35 of the NDPS Act alongside orders to seize all substances and assets onboard, that consisted of 13 gms cocaine, 21 gm charas, 22 pills of MDMA, 5 gm MD, and 1.33 lakh Indian Rupees (INR) in cash.
