PMA urges Imran Khan to postpone long march due to MDCAT

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) has addressed a letter to PTI Chairman Imran Khan requesting that the former ruling party's long march be postponed till 4 p.m. on November 13 due to the Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test (MDCAT) scheduled for that day.

The MDCAT was already delayed by two months, and the official release date was only announced. Last Saturday, PMC published a statement clarifying that the test would be administered as scheduled, putting to rest the rumors that it had been postponed.

In his letter, PMC President Lt. Col. (ret.) Ghulam Shabbir noted the delay and added that the school year would be lost for the children if the test is delayed.

In addition, he mentioned that students and their parents are concerned about their ability to access exam centers owing to protests in Punjab.

In light of these considerations, the PMC chief asked the PTI chairman to postpone the long march till November 13 at 4 p.m.
