105 more coronavirus cases confirmed in Sindh in 24 hours

KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Health and Population Welfare, Dr Azra Fazal Pechuho, said that the Sindh Health Department had conducted more than 2700 tests for the coronavirus(COVID-19) so far in the province out of which 357 tested positive.

She informed that a total of 357 positive coronavirus cases had been detected in the Sindh province so far, out of which 255 are in Sukkur, 101 are in Karachi, and one is in Hyderabad. She further informed that three patients have recovered to date, and 353 are currently under treatment while an elderly also died due to coronavirus-related complications.

Azra Pechuho said teams are working around the clock to make sure that people are tested in a timely manner and are given the best service possible. We have 60 cases of local transmission so far, she added.

She urged people to maintain social distancing to avoid community spread, and if someone has a 14-day history of foreign travel, they need to quarantine themselves at home for two weeks to avoid transmission of the COVID-19 to others.
