10th Arthroscopy Forum Workshop held in Quetta

Quetta: The POA Arthroscopy Forum held its 10th Arthroscopy Forum Workshop in collaboration with the Department of Orthopeadic Surgery, Bolan Medical College, Quetta at a local hotel on the 27th and 28th of August 2016.

The PM&DC accredited workshop was a continuing joint effort to strengthen the Arthroscopy Specialty in collaboration with Pakistan Orthopedic Association. The course director of the workshop was Dr. Khalid Mahmud Shah along with Drs Zahid Askar, M. Javaid Iqbal, Suhail Amin, Abu Bakar Saddiq and Kamran Butt. The course coordinator of the workshop was Prof. Masood Kazi of Bolan Medical College, Quetta. More than 40 participants attended the workshop which consisted of lectures, videos and hands on skill training on mannequin.

The interactive workshop sessions focused on the Basic Techniques of Knee Arthroscopy, Removal of loose body, Synovectomy, ACL Reconstruction Technique along with Basic Setup of Shoulder Arthroscopy.

The participants of the workshop expressed their contentment on the organization of the workshop and said that such academic activities must be continually done for the uplifting of the clinical techniques of the Arthroscopy Speciality.
