No fuel shortage: Ministry of Energy Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Energy has debunked rumors of a fuel shortage, stating that gasoline and diesel can meet the country's needs.

The oil industry alerted the government a day earlier of an anticipated gasoline and high-speed diesel (HSD) shortfall in the following days due to inadequate imports and limited local availability.

In a brief statement, the Petroleum Division stated that the rumors claiming fuel scarcity are false and contradictory to the facts.

According to the Oil Companies Advisory Council's (OCAC) stock situation, as of November 7, petrol supplies are approximately 550,000 metric tonnes, sufficient for 21 days, and diesel stocks are 438,000 metric tonnes, which is adequate for 15 days.
