Annual Fund Raiser at CHK

Karachi: Patients’ Welfare Association’s (PWA) annual fundraising event “The Bake Sale” will be held at Civil Hospital Karachi on 15th April 2015. 

President, Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industries Iftikhar Ahmed Vohra will be the chief guest of event.

The purpose of organizing the event every year is to collect funds to provide free of cost medical services to destitute patients of Civil Hospital in particular and the entire city in general.

PWA is the largest student run non-governmental, non-political organization of Pakistan, working within the premises of CHK, run by the students of DMC since the past 36 years.

The services offered include medicines on daily basis, provision of screened blood and base line diagnostic investigations. The association caters to the needs of registered Thalassemia and TB patients and sufferers of long term illnesses like hypertension, asthma, diabetes and others. All the services provided are free of cost.

Renowned doctors, celebrity guests and students from all institutions and people from all walks of life will attend the event held for a noble cause.
