Dow University declared top medical university in Pakistan

KARACHI: Dow University of Health Sciences has joined the international race of university rankings and has also won the honor of being the top medical university in Pakistan. Every year, the "Times Higher Education World University Rankings," a global organization of international universities, has included Dow University in 601-800. In the ranking of 601-800, Dow University has achieved this honor among 1799 institutions from different regions of the world. 

Under the innovative leadership of the University's Vice-Chancellor, Professor emeritus Dr. Mohammed Saeed Quraishy, the institution's performance has increased. Under his leadership and activities, the Dow University of Health Sciences has made persistent efforts in quality research, clinical services, scholarship, and community engagement in accordance with its goal.

The Times Higher Education World University Ranking has accepted and ranked the Dow University of Health Sciences as the first medical university in Pakistan for 2023. Dow University is continuously improving its curriculum, facilities, and services to generate globally competitive and industry-matched graduates, as evidenced by the number of internationally recognized Pakistani universities.

According to TIMES HIGHER EDUCATION, DUHS has Pakistan's highest-ranking research citations pillar and is ranked fourth nationally. DUHS entered THE 601-800 range, the highest rating ever earned by a Pakistani Medical University as of this year, and THE World University rankings accept this (WUR).

One thousand seven hundred ninety-nine universities from 104 countries and regions participated in 2023 THE WUR, making it the most diverse and comprehensive ranking ever issued by THE. THE's rankings comprised 29 universities nationwide, and DUHS ranked fourth.

According to the QS Asia University Rankings 2022, THE DUHS is also among the region's research-intensive institutions. The insights and data culled from these lists have been embraced as a geopolitical indicator and a tool for strategic management of institutions and a vital factor in the study decisions of millions of students worldwide and their employment prospects. In addition, the Times Higher Education praised the University's 3% international student population and 6.8% student-to-faculty ratio.

In promoting a programmatic and holistic approach in accordance with their Master Strategic Plan (2019-2030), "A Bridge of Excellence," DUHS has been recognized by QS Asia University Rankings in 2022 as a 'Young' Age, medium-sized, high-intensity Research University in Asia.
