Shahbaz Gill admitted to PIMS; undergoes medical tests

Islamabad: Shahbaz Gill, senior PTI member and Chief of Staff, has been moved to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) on the evening of Wednesday 17th August 2022. Sources claim that the PTI leader complained of difficulty in breathing.

Shahbaz Gill had been recently arrested by the Islamabad police and was, therefore, in police custody since the 9th of August. His arrest was due to the debatable comments made on air, targeting a private news channel.

Certain sources in Adiala jail claimed that recently, Mr. Gill had been complaining of difficulty in breathing, due to the injuries faced during torture, whilst arrested. His deteriorating health caused him to be moved from the jail hospital to PIMS for a detailed medical checkup.

According to PIMS, Shahbaz Gills’s current situation is stable. However, his ECG has shown abnormal results due to increasing heart palpitations in anxiety and stress.
