Two people die in Karachi hospital fire

KARACHI: Two people had died in a fire in a private hospital of Karachi situated in the Saddar area of Karachi. 

Media reports stated that a fire broke out in the hospital's oxygen plant, and two people died. Both were welders and working near the plant. 

Sarfaraz Nawaz, Senior Superintendent of Police, Sindh, stated that the clothes of one welder caught fire during welding. The other wielder mistook an oxygen cylinder as a fire extinguisher and tried to put out the fire, but it spread. 

Sources at Burns Centre Karachi said a dead and an injured person were brought to the hospital and later passed away.
