ISLAMABAD: Marriyum Aurangzeb, a spokesperson for the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), claimed that the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was involved in massive corruption.

Marriyum Aurangzeb enlightened that the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa violated the law by neglecting the best bidders, attempting to make fraudulent payments, violating PEPPRA rules and substandard procurement activities, mismanaging COVID-19 funds and choosing to buy low-quality equipment.

She asserted that this is why the Government of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa did not release the Auditor General of Pakistan's report on the COVID-19 Relief Fund. She claimed that the audit revealed embezzlement of roughly Rs40 billion. She remarked at a press conference here that it was surprising that the administration had ignored its own auditor general's observations by not making them public.
