400 kg of Pork seized at Punjab airport 

LAHORE: Airport officials, present at the Lahore airport have allegedly seized about 400kg of pork from a foreign national that attempted to smuggle the meat to Pakistan.

According to media reports, authorities at the airport received an anonymous tip that a large amount of pork would be smuggled from Dubai to Pakistan on flight ER 724. Once investigation ensued, custom officials confiscated the meat, foiling the smuggling attempt.

Authorities claimed that the smuggler packed pork into 12 large cartons in a particularly special black plastic sheet, to avoid it from being noticed under the scanning machine.
