Sindh doctors refuse to serve flood victims; notices issued

KARACHI: Several doctors have been handed show-cause letters by the Sindh government for refusing to work in flood-affected regions.

Despite being appointed by the provincial administration, several doctors have refused to treat flood victims in Sindh's afflicted areas. According to sources, the provincial health department issued a 'last warning' to doctors who have refused to serve in flood-affected regions.

According to sources, the Sindh government has issued warning warnings to 89 male and female doctors. Despite receiving instructions from the health department, several Grade 17 doctors were missing from the workplace.

According to sources, the concerned physicians would be terminated if they failed to respond within three days and were away from their duties.
