Pakistan Railway massively slashes ticket fares for people during Eid

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Railways reduced fares for individuals who plan on travelling to see family and friends for the Eid vacation.

Khwaja Saad Rafique, Pakistan's Minister for Railways, announced a 30% flat discount on railway prices over the three Eid holidays. 

Rail services will be put back on track at a faster speed, and the Harnai-Sibi station and track will be rehabilitated, according to the ministry.

The ML-I CPEC megaproject's delays will be investigated by the ministry.

Even though the train currently provides free economy-class tickets at no cost to elderly persons, it also offers discounts for students, senior citizens and journalists.

Those 65 to 74 years of age are eligible for a 50 per cent discount on economy class travel and a 25 per cent discount on air-conditioned coach transportation. 

Aside from that, Students would receive a 50 per cent discount on rail tickets, according to a statement from the railroads.

There is a 25% discount for anyone accompanying a person with a disability, and tickets are half-priced for students and the disabled.
