Introduction of medical specialties at UCHS: 6th syndicate meeting

Lahore:  The sixth syndicate meeting of the University of Child Health Sciences was held under the chairmanship of Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid. 

Vice Chancellor University of Child Health Sciences Professor Dr. Masood Sadiq, MD Children's Hospital Professor Dr. Muhammad Saleem, Professor Sajid Muqoob, Member of the Punjab Assembly Khadija Umar and syndicate members from other departments participated.   

Dr Yasmin Rashid inaugurated the latest Cath biplane angiography lab worth 18 crores rupees.  

Dr Yasmin Rashid also gave the approval to buy IT equipment for the University of Child Health Sciences. During the syndicate meeting, the annual contract for security services was approved for the University of Child Health Sciences.  

The University of Child Health Sciences was also approved for the purchase of medicines for the patients for the year 2022-23.

The annual contract for repairing and maintenance of MRI at the University of Child Health Sciences was approved. The matter of introducing level 4 programs of Microbiology, Pediatric Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Pediatric Dentistry, Pediatric Rheumatology, Pediatric Pulmonology and Pediatric Hematology at the university were also approved. 

Provincial Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid said that special attention is being paid to research in all the medical universities of Punjab. The establishment of a new and modern biplane cath angiography lab in the University of Child Health Sciences is very welcome. Dr Yasmin Rashid said that the credit for the approval of the University of Child Health Sciences goes to Imran Khan. The provincial health minister congratulated Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Masood Sadiq and his team for the excellent treatment of innocent children in Children's Hospital Lahore.
