Helpline number 1121 launched to prevent child abuse: Sarah Ahmad

LAHORE: As per the initiative taken by Sarah Ahmad, Chairperson of Child Protection & Welfare Bureau Punjab, to provide a training workshop to 35 Investigation Officers of Lahore police for the prevention of Child Abuse. 

Sarah Ahmad, Chairperson, Child Protection & Welfare Bureau, SP CRO Zoahib Nasrallah, Iftikhar Mubarak, Executive Director Search For Justice, and others concluded the training workshop by distributing certificates among the participants. 

Sarah Ahmad, while addressing the participants, said, "Child Protection Bureau & Punjab Police are working together to prevent child abuse in Punjab, and we will make Punjab free from child abuse according to the vision of the Chief Minister, Punjab." 

Child Protection Bureau had already conducted training of Lahore police in which SHOs of all police Stations in Lahore were trained. She further stated, "I want to create awareness about our child rescue helpline, number 1121, to help the victims. I am thankful to all police officers who enthusiastically participated in the training workshop and do hope they will use skills learned during this workshop for the betterment of people in their respective police stations." She also added that she was proud of her officers from Child Protection Bureau for conducting this training in a very professional manner.
