CM Murad Ali Shah wants equal opportunities for everyone in Pakistan

KARACHI: Syed Murad Ali Shah, has stated that it is his government's obligation and ambition to transform Pakistan into an inclusive society where individuals with varying abilities are accepted, included, and given equal chances to live full and independent lives.

He stated this while addressing at the opening ceremony for the Learning Center at the Karachi Down Syndrome Program (KDSP) at PECHS.

Murad Ali Shah stated that he was previously just aware of this noble cause, but has now witnessed it. "Their Board just gave me a very comprehensive and well-planned tour, and I can see how much time and love have been poured in this cause and location." The CM stated that KDSP has made significant development over the previous eight years. 

Murad Ali Shah asserted "With such high-quality and comprehensive treatment, I am optimistic about the inclusion of an estimated 300,000 people with Down syndrome in Pakistan."

He claimed that it was the obligation and goal of the Sindh government to transform Pakistan into an inclusive society where individuals with varying abilities are accepted, included, and given equal chances to live full and independent lives.


The CM indicated that he would continue to support the KDSP team and hoped that this cause would flourish. 

Murad Ali Shah acknowledged that the KDSP was a one-stop solution, offering high-quality and reasonably priced services to more than 1,568 persons with Down syndrome and their families. He also said that KDSP was involved in Early Childhood Intervention (Physical, Occupational, and Speech therapies).

On this occasion, the CM Special Assistant on Empowerment of Differently Abled Persons stated that bringing differently abled youngsters into the mainstream through rigorous training, education, and treatments was a valuable service.
