PIMA provided medical assistance to over 10,000 flood victims

KARACHI: Pakistan Islamic Medical Association (PIMA) has initiated medical aid efforts in Pakistan's flood-affected regions. More than 10,000 individuals have been checked and given free medication.

Dr Khubaib Shahid, the central president of PIMA, stated in a news release that PIMA is providing medical help to flood victims through medical camps and mobile clinics in many regions, including Rajanpur, Jhal Magsi, Quetta, Nushki, Jacobabad, Khairpur, Sukkur, and Shikarpur. 

He stated that the current scenario is worse, more unsettling, and has far-reaching consequences than prior natural catastrophes such as the 2005 earthquake and the 2010 and 2012 floods.

PIMA's volunteer physicians attempted to protect victims from infectious diseases and provide them free medical care. The PIMA Women Wing is also arranging obstetric camps in places affected by flooding.
