PZ's players tested positive

KARACHI: Wahab Riaz, Arshad Iqbal, Kamran Akmal, and Hazratullah Zazai were pulled out of Peshwar Zalmi's opening match against Quetta Gladiators as they were tested positive for COVID-19.

Shoaib Malik would replace the captaincy of the squad in Wahab's absence for the team's first match.

Previously, Multan Sultans had defeated Karachi Kings in their inaugural encounter at the same venue the day before.
