MSPH thesis Defence held at JSMU 

KARACHI: A Master of Science in Public Health (MSPH) scholar, Dr Unaiza Pervaiz Hashmi, successfully defended her thesis at the thesis defense research seminar led by the Research Department and APPNA Institute of Public Health-Jinnah Sindh Medical University 

Dr Unaiza completed her research work under the supervision of Professor Lubna Ansari Baig, ex-chairperson  AIPH-JSMU on the subject ‘Psychosocial and emotional experiences faced by divorced women of Karachi.’ 

The thesis defense seminar was assessed by the research committee members and ASRB observer, including two external examiners, Professor Murad Qadir, Head of Community Medicine Department, Jinnah Medical and Dental College, Karachi  and Professor Tehseen Haider Kazmi, Head of Community Medicine Department, Shalamar Medical and Dental College, Lahore. 

Associate Professor Dr Tafazzul Haider Zaidi , In charge of Department of Community Medicine, Jinnah Sindh Medical University was present as the internal examiner, while Director Research Department Professor Dr Huma Shareef served as the Neutral Chair.  

Vice Chancellor JSMU Professor Amjad Siraj Memon commended the MSPH graduate for her efforts and congratulated her on successfully defending her thesis.
