32nd Dermatologists Conference held in Karachi

The Pakistan Association of Dermatologists organized an insightful conference at a local hotel in Karachi on 13 – 15th December 2013. The event also featured a Pre Conference Workshop for the young and future Dermatologists along with numerous Scientific Sessions, live workshops and discussions on Pharmaceuticals conducted by several learned speakers and skin specialists.

The Pakistan Association of Dermatologists (PAD) also conducted its General Body meeting and Elections for the office bearers during this conference. The programme was enriched with an Exhibition, an Award Distribution Ceremony, Gala Dinners and Musical/Ghazal nights for the participants.

The renowned dermatologist – Dr. Manzoor H. Memon was the Organizing Chairman along with Dr. Qamar Iqbal Chandio as the Organizing Secretary. The Organizing committee comprised of a Chief Patron: Dr. Muhammad Hayat baloch , director, Institute of Skin, Diseases Sindh, Karachi. Dr. Mrs. Mumtaz Memon was the Patron. The Scientific Committee comprised of; Brig. Dr. Amjad Rashid as the Chairman and Prof. Dr. Aijaz Ahmed as the Co-Chairman.

The other functional organisers of this conference included; Dr. Misbah-ur-Rehman and Dr. Aftab Ahmed Shaikh, Dr. Sher Muhammad Bhutto, Dr. Vijay Anand, Dr. Tahir Anis, Dr. Shabnam Shaikh, Emad Ullah Kirmani, Dr. Saqib Alam, Dr. Rukhsana Cochinwala, Dr. Parkash Khubchandani, Dr. Kehkashan Qamar, Dr. Shahida Ishaq Memon, Dr. Sharif Khan Niazi, Dr. Naveed Baluch, Dr. A. Rab Nishtar, Dr. Kalim Ahmed sheikh, and Dr. Najia Ashraf.

The other Members who also contributed towards the success of this conference were; Dr. Rukhsana Baluch, Dr. Shamama Irfan, Dr. Jamil A. Baluch, Dr. Iqbal A. There were several attractions, facilities and city tours and shopping sprees were arranged for the entertainment of the delegates and their families including a Mela at the Arabian Sea Shore with live Music, where the young ones could enjoy themselves at the; live shows, Face Painting Booth, jumping castle, Camel/Horse Riding, etc.
