Anti-Polio Drive starts

Karachi: Three-day anti-polio campaign kicked off in Karachi and during drive over 2.4 million children will be administered polio drops in 188 Union Councils of the city.

During a drive volunteers will cover 188 union councils of 18 towns in Karachi. Over 24,60000 children under the age of five will be vaccinated in the drive. To make campaign successful, control rooms had been established at Director Health Karachi and Commissioner Karachi offices, respectively.

Over 6,200 polio teams have been deployed in all union councils of Karachi.  The law enforcement officials have been deputed for security of teams across the city.
The polio teams will cover all union councils of Karachi during three day drive from 18th April and till 21st April 2016.
