Armed suspects rob DUHS student of their valuables


KARACHI: At least 4 armed men boarded a Dow University of Health Sciences point-bus, and robbed the 80 students onboard of their valuables in the Sakhi Hasan, North Nazimabad area of Karachi on 8th of December, Monday.

Upon returning, the victims of the robbery staged a protest against the suspects, the administration and the Police, demanding justice. The protestors only ended their demonstrations after Police and Ranger officials had arrived at the site, assuring the students that the FIR of the incident will be registered on priority basis and the robbers will be arrested.  

According to Muhammad Sabir, a student of the University, 4 armed robbers had boarded the point-bus snatching all valuables, gold jewelry, cash and mobile phones from the students. He added that this was not the first time the students had become victims to an armed robbery.  

An FIR has been registered by the North Nazimabad Police, and investigations probing into the matter and the culprits behind it have been launched.
