Blood Bank Sealed over Irregularities in Karachi

KARACHI- Sindh Blood Transfusion Authority (SBTA) has sealed blood bank over various irregularities.

Senior Surveillance In-Charge, SBTA, Dr Durre Naz Jamal, along with her team has conducted a raid in blood bank established in private hospital where they were found expiry drips and blood bags while blood bank was being run without qualified pathologist and unscreened blood was being stored in this facility.

The blood bank was sealed by the SBTA team on the spot over various irregularities. The Hussaini Blood Bank Branch was functioning in private sector where only a staff boy of blood bank was present on the time of raid.
