CHK Identifies Five Imposters Racketing Patients

KARACHI- Dr. Ruth KM Pfau, Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK), administration  revealed the names and pictures of the five-member group of imposters, involved in the case of referring patients into private health facilities for commission.

The hospital management, after surveillance and monitoring identified a group of private hospitals agents, who were involved in this illegal act. They were also reportedly involved in acquiring money from patient’s attendants, for admission in wards and provision of diagnostic facilities in the hospital.

The agents were identified as Nadeem, Tanveer, Ejaz, Riaz and Sheraz. The patient attendants were instructed to Call 15 for Police and inform management over any suspicious activity, right away.

The CHK administration displayed banners and posters with the imposter’s names and pictures at different sites of the hospital, requesting visitors to avoid dealing with them. This group targeted patients from rural areas of Sindh, by showing sympathy.

Medical Superintendent, Dr. Ruth KM Pfau CHK, Dr. Muhammad Taufiq, confirmed the news and further informed that, strict action would be taken against any staff member of the hospital, if he/she are involved in such activities.
