KARACHI-  After rigorous efforts of The Helpline Trust and other Consumer Rights Organizations, the Provincial Government, under the Sindh Consumer Protection Act-2014, has agreed on forming Consumer Courts, across the province of Sindh.

The Helpline Trust was established in 1994 with the aim to promote good governance, accountability and rule of law.

This establishment diligently pursues the Consumer Protection Bill.

Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Murad Ali Shah announced that the Consumer courts would be set up soon, with the assurance of his team’s cooperation and assistance, to ensure smooth working and implementation of this new system, so to safeguard the rights of consumers.

The Helpline Trust demanded that, the Government of Sindh and its relevant departments should conduct awareness campaigns regarding the utility of Sindh Consumer Protection Act-2014 and the consumer courts.

The Helpline Trust firmly believes that this new system under the Consumer Protection Act will also offer protection against rampant instances of fleecing, exploitation, substandard quality and undue price-hike of services and products, within the market.
