Coronavirus cases rise to 208 in Sindh

KARACHI: As many as 36 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in the Sindh province in the last 24 hours, taking the reported case toll to 208 in the province.

Media Coordinator to the Health Minister, Meeran Yousuf, noted that a total of 208 coronavirus patients have emerged across the Sindh province so far out of which 151 are from Taftan, 19 are from Karachi, and one from Hyderabad.

She further informed that two people have recovered while 206 are still under treatment.

A total of 448 coronavirus cases have been detected in Pakistan so far, out of which 208 are in Sindh, 33 in Punjab, 19 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 16 in Baluchistan, 7 in Islamabad, 13 in Gilgit-Baltistan, and one in Azad Jammu Kashmir.

No death due to the coronavirus has been registered in the country so far, according to government data.

Globally, the coronavirus has infected more than 200,000 and killed more than 8000 people. More than 80,000 people have recovered from the illness across the world so far.
