Coronavirus claims two more lives in Karachi

KARACHI: Sindh’s Minister for Health and Population Welfare, Dr Azra Pechuho, confirmed two more deaths due to the coronavirus in Karachi, bringing the total number of fatalities in Sindh to 8.

She informed that a 70-year old patient, a resident of Karachi, was brought to the hospital where he was tested for COVID-19. The patient’s result came out positive after he passed away. The patient had a history of multiple health problems and contracted the virus locally.

Similarly, a-74-year-old patient, a resident of Karachi, was shifted to the hospital on 26th March, where he was tested for COVID-19. The patient has passed away. The patient had a history of Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome and diabetes.

This brings the total number of deaths in Sindh to 8 out of which five people died in Karachi due to the viral disease in the last 48 hours.
