59 New Cases Surface in Karachi

KARACHI- As many as 59 dengue fever cases were reported across the city of Karachi within a week, taking the reported cases toll to 402 in the city, since 1st January 2018.

According to the weekly report issued by Prevention and Control Program for Dengue in Sindh, as many as 60 new dengue fever cases were reported across the province of Sindh, out of which 59 were reported from within Karachi and 1 from some other district of the province, all over a weeks span.

In May’18, a total 139 dengue positive cases were reported throughout Sindh, out of which 132 were from Karachi and 7 from other districts of the Province.

This year, a total of 427 dengue cases have been reported across Sindh, out of them 402 were from Karachi and 25 from rest of the province.

A death due to this lethal fever, was also reported in Karachi within this year.
