Dengue on the rise

KARACHI: As many as 31 more dengue viral fever cases have been reported from Sindh province out of which 29 detected from Karachi in a week, taking the patients toll 397 in the province since 1st January 2016.

As per weekly report issued by Dengue Prevention and Control Program (DPCP), Sindh, at least 31 new dengue fever cases detected from Sindh province from 8th April to 14th April 2016, out of which 29 reported from Karachi and one each from Larkana and NausheroFeroz.

A total 397 dengue fever cases had been reported in Sindh province since 1st January 2016, out of which 380 were detected from Karachi, five from Hyderabad, two from Sukkur, one each from Tando Muhammad Khan, Larkana, NausheroFeroz,  Jamshoro, Mirpurkhas, Sanghar, Ghotki, Thatta, Shikarpur and Shaheed Benazirbad.
No death was reported from dengue fever this year so far.
