Dengue, Still on the Rise in Karachi!

35 more dengue cases emerge from Karachi

KARACHI- As many as 35 more Dengue fever cases were detected across the city of Karachi within a week, taking the reported cases toll to 729 in the city, since 1st January 2018.

As per the weekly report issued by Prevention and Control Program for Dengue in Sindh, at least 36 new dengue fever cases emerged throughout the province of Sindh, out of which 35 were from Karachi and 01 from another district of Sindh.

In August, a total number of 102 dengue positive cases were detected across Sindh, out of which, 98 were from Karachi and 04 from other districts of the province.

This year, till date, a total of 773 dengue cases have been reported throughout the province of Sindh, out of which 729 were recorded from within Karachi and 44 from rest of the province.

Unfortunately this year, a death was also reported in Karachi due to dengue fever.
