Dr Suleman Shahid of LUMS bags Japanese grant

Dr Suleman Shahid was recently awarded a grant by a Japanese company in recognition of his significant contribution towards creating awareness regarding learning and cognitive disabilities among young children through technological innovations. Dr Shahid is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science and Director of the Computer-Human Interaction and Social Experience Lab (CHISEL) at the Syed Babar Ali School of Science and Engineering (SBASSE), LUMS. The project will be taken on by CHISEL under Dr Shahid’s direction.

Dr Attiya Inam, Assistant Professor at the College of Home Economics, will also assist the team. The individuals from the institutes will be working with children with disabilities. A media agency will also be on board to collaborate on different initiatives under the project.
