Prof Masood’s 3rd tenure as Dow VC

Karachi: Sindh Government once again has appointed the Former Vice-Chancellor of Dow University of Health Science (DUHS) Prof Masood Hameed Khan on the post of VC for their time and also issued DUHS (Amendment) Ordinance 2014.  

As per details, DUHS (Amendment) Ordinance 2014 has issued on 15 September 2014 by provincial government and this Amendment Ordinance 2014 would be promulgated from 16th September 2013.

It was pertinent to mention here that Sindh Assembly had passed Sindh Universities Laws (Amendment) Bill 2013 on 28 August that VCs had to be removed who had completed two tenures. In this connection VC DUHS Prof Masood Hameed and VC Mehran University Prof Abdul Qadeer Rajput had been removed from their posts.

The provincial government once again has issued DUHS (Amendment) Ordinance 2014 and posted Prof Masood Hameed Khan as VC of Dow University for third tenure. Prof Umer Farooq is currently working as acting VC of DUHS.
