MN Report

KARACHI- Sindh Health Minister Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar has ordered departmental action against absconding health practitioners as well as those not performing their duties honestly and diligently.

He said that after completion of departmental proceedings all those doctors on being found guilty of serious dereliction of duty will be heard personally and if they failed to satisfy the authorities concerned further action, which may include termination of their service, could be initiated.

Regarding K-Electric’s recent action of disconnecting power supply of various government hospitals on account of non-payment of electricity dues,  the minister asked the provincial secretary health to help resolve the issue on priority, ensuring uninterrupted power supply to all public sector hospitals so that patients of the health facilities might not suffer again.

Meanwhile, Sindh Chief Secretary Muhammad Siddik Memon has directed JPMC (Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre) administration to get the electric meters installed in the hospital’s residential and commercial units and submit a report to him within a month.
